1. Right turns not permitted on red signal, except when green arrow is shown with red signal.
2. Cars permitted to drive either to the right or left of safety zones.
3. Left turns not permitted at certain points, where signs to this effect are posted.
4. Illegal to cross center line in Liberty Tubes.
5. Flashing yellow signals mean "Proceed...With Caution."
6. Flashing red signals mean "Make a Complete Stop...Then Proceed When Traffic Is Clear."
7. One-way streets are marked with large white arrows.
8. Hand signals required to signifty intention to stop, turn or slow down.
9. It is illegal to pass street cars on the left, except on one-way streets, or on two-way streets where the space between the right side of street car and the curb is less than one-car width, and then only when there is clear visibility for 500 feet.
10. Illegal to pass street cars discharging or taking on passengers, except at safety zones.
11. Cars illegally parked are towed to municipal garage on Duquesne Way at Manchester Bridge. Where parking is restricted, signs are installed in every block. Due to congestion, no parking privileges extended to visitors.
12. Parking restrictions are posted on signs and poles; yellow painted curb indicates "No Parking At Any Time," except at commercial loading zones, where the restriction is effective only between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
13. Left turns must be made from the traffic lane nearest to the center of the highway, and right turns must be made from the lane nearest the ride side.
14. No "U" turns permitted.
15. Recommended speed limit is 35 miles per hour or less on city streets in daytime, or speed conducive to safety under existing conditions at any time. Posted speed limit signs regulate limits over given areas.
16. Drivers may proceed on green-yellow signal; must stop when yellow shows alone in automatic traffic-light signals. The green-yellow light warns pedestrians that they no longer have sufficient time to cross the street safely.
17. Parking meters are installed in several sections of the City; one cent for each 12 minutes up to the limit of one hour.
18. Whenever any vehicle has stopped at a marked crosswalk or any intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass such stopped vehicle.
19. It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to drive the same when such vehicle is so loaded or when there are in the front seat of such vehicle such number of persons as to obstruct the view of the driver to the front or sides, or to interfere with the driver's control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle.
20. It shall be unlawful for the driver of any motor vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injuries or death to any person, or total property damage to an apparent extent of $50.00 or more to fail to forward a report in duplicate of such accident to the Department of Public Safety, City of Pittsburgh, within 24 hours of the occurrence thereof.
