Carolina Lost: Bridge no. 114  - Cleveland County
What: Wooden Deck Bridge over Sandy Run Creek
Where: College Farm Road near Boiling Springs
Accessibility: Easy (Note: Bridge scheduled to be demolished)

Hidden in the rural foothills of Cleveland County, there sits a closed wooden deck bridge that once carried College Park Road over Sandy Run Creek.  Known as Bridge No. 114, this single lane structure was built in 1957.  The 263 foot bridge has been closed for sometime and is considered by NCDOT as substandard and a hazard.  The estimated cost to replace the bridge is about $1 million.  NCDOT is currently debating whether to replace the bridge or dead end College Park Road on both sides of the creek.
