What's new?

7/14/2007: A new four-mile section of 540 is now open, connecting NC 55 to I-40 south of RTP.  But why isn't it signed as an Interstate, like the rest of the freeway?  Find out here.
1/20/2007: Time for a wholesale site redesign. It's been too long, hasn't it?  Anyway, in the next few months just about every page on the site will get a facelift...some of them haven't been touched in almost eight years, so it's way past time. First up: new pages for US 264 and US 1A, and rewritten pages all over the numbered roads section.  Look for the symbols to figure out what's been redesigned.

8/14/2006: Fayetteville Street has been re-opened to vehicles for the first time in thirty years, and Wake County Roads celebrates the newest road in Raleigh, which also happens to be one of the oldest.
