I-110/US 90, Biloxi, MS

An interesting little spur.

Scale is approximately 1 km per grid 'square'. US 90 is the main east-west road along the coast.

I-110 is a little freeway spur connecting a typical major cross-country interstate highway with the cental part of an otherwise unremarkable medium sized city.

Biloxi, MS is a fairly normal Gulf Coast place, and has seen significant tourist related development in recent years. For example, at the southeast corner of the I-110/US 90 interchange is a HUGE gambling casino/resort hotel that was built AFTER this map was most recently updated.

The INTERESTING thing here is that the ramps connecting southbound I-110 to eastbound US 90 and eastbound US 90 to northbound I-110 extend OVER the Gulf of Mexico. The WB US 90 to NB I-110 and SB I-110 to WB US 90 ramps diverge/converge to the left of the above two on I-110.

An fascinating last few meters of driving before stopping to unload one's excess cash at the casino, isn't it?
